Review content:
Alpine Towing is super expensive. I had about a 5 mile local tow at 4PM one afternoon and another about 5 mile tow 2 days later. Both tows were during the day. My vehicle hit a deer and had front end damage, but still started and rolled just fine, so an easy tow. My total was over $650! Unbelievable! From calling around, this seems about twice what it should’ve been
This included 3 days of storage (instead of 2) and all kinds of overblown administrative, clean-up, and inflated time spent charges. After 5 calls to them, with no calls returned, I was able to get this info. Initially I was strongly discouraged from using my AAA, and to just bill my insurance which sounds fishy. I don’t want to see me or my insurance company get a raw deal. I asked to have the bill revised to a more reasonable amount, but no dice. Salida is a small honest town and this just does not fit and/or sit well with me. They got me on the hook this time, but never again. Mike from Salida.
