Tucked into the quiet and quaint riviera village, this ice cream shop has 52+ flavors of ice cream, gelato and sorbet. They also offer semi-freddo and other italian classics. Although not as cool and classic as North Beach ice cream shops in SF., this place is definitely a gem for los angeles. The gelatos are excellent and fresh and full of flavor. THere are several very unique flavors. I have tried 6 and all of them were very fresh with intense flavors. The sorbets were equally exceptional in flavor and texture. The store owners are very friendly and knowledgable about the ice cream they make fresh. Manhattan Beach Gelato, Manhattan Beach cremery, and few ice creams hops in hermosa are good (much better than baskins), but i think this one is the best. Try the coffee gelato with chocolate covered expresso beans, yum!\r \r The only other gelato place that beats this one is angelato in the awesome strip of Santa Monica, but that is Santa Monica!!!! Pros: Excellent gelato, sorbets. Location. Atmosphere. Friendliness Cons: Small traditional ice cream selection (only 6 flavors)
