Review content:
The father and son team of Buddy and Charlie Babb have been winning barbecue championships for years. One taste of their ribs, pulled-pork or smoked chicken shows how smart the judges have been. This cozy neighborhood restaurant/bar serves daily meat-and-three specials at lunch and a full and varied menu evenings. Be sure and check the menu board for nightly specials, especially the pasta on Wednesdays. The hot chicken, served only on Tuesday's, ranks right up there with Prince's and Bolton's. Mondays and Fridays feature ""all you care to eat"" catfish. Prices are very reasonable and portions are huge. The bar has several TVs for sports. One area needing improvement is the beer cooler. Many times, the beer is so cold that it has ice in it. Bar regulars represent an eclectic mix of laborers, craftsmen and professionals, with local politicians stopping by on a regular basis. The friendly atmosphere will remind you of the ""Cheers"" television program several years ago. West Nashville was literally starved for dining choices for years, so Paradise Ridge has proven to be a welcome addition. Pros: Food quality, atmosphere, friendly patrons and staff, prices Cons: Beer sometimes frozen
