Michelle Danner (Larry Moss Studio, Edgemar Center for the Arts) has been a great inspiration. I took her 2 day TV and film intensive and learned so much. I take on-camera class at Edgemar regularly, but this special intensive added another layer that we don’t get in weekly class – being able to keep the script overnight and using the following day as a callback. We got notes after we watched our first takes, went home and worked them into our performances. Using her techniques in my work has enabled me to infuse and utilize my emotional experiences and the inherent personal psychology connected to those experiences thereby creating a template that allows me to take a character that might appear to be foreign, and makes it immediately assessable.
