Review content:
Last night a friend and I had dinner at Namaste upon a recommendation from my brother. I am sorry to say that the dinner did not live up to his recommendation or to our expectations.\r
\r
First of all, after being seated, we waited for ten minutes for our waiter to take our drinks order and after he still did not make his presence known, we had to call him to our table. His name was Perry, as I found out from my credit card receipt, since he never introduced himself to us. (There were only three other occupied tables with two people at each one in the entire restaurant.)\r
\r
We ordered our entrees based on the waiter?s recommendations: dishes of tandoori ?leg of lamb? and chicken with raisins, almonds, and other ingredients, along with the request that the dished be prepared ?medium spicy? when the waiter asked how we would like them cooked.\r
\r
I was sorely disappointed with even the appearance of the food upon its arrival at our table. The portions were hardly sufficient for one person, and much less for two to share given price of $15 for each entree. Neither did the dishes match the descriptions provided in the menu, with the raisins, almonds, and other ingredients in the chicken dish missing entirely. The $15 tandoori ?leg of lamb? consisted of 4 small bite-size pieces of meat so tough and gristly it could neither be cut nor eaten. It was meat unworthy of serving to a dog! The medium-spicy dishes we expected were altogether flavorless and when we complained to our waiter, the best he could offer to remedy the situation was a side dish of hot chili sauce. He never offered to replace or substitute those dishes.\r
\r
Finally, twenty minutes after our dishes were cleared, Perry arrived at our table to take our orders for desert, which we declined. Perry then presented us with our check and after we paid, he returned with my credit card receipt without a single thank-you or apology. I felt robbed of my hard-earned money and embarrassed for my companion.\r
