My experience at Fairmount Animal Hospital was extremely positive, and I continue to go there. The vet is very nice, and spent a full hour on the first visit to explain about vaccinations, diseases that humans can catch from their pets, and veterinary regulations. I found this extremely useful because like most people, I am not a veterinarian, and I do not have the doctor's expertise. My first visit at Fairmount Animal Hospital was very useful because I could choose what my pet really needed as basic preventative care. I could not afford everything, so the veterinarian explained what vaccines my pet really needed based upon my pet's life style. Like one of the previous reviewers, I too wanted to get an online prescription. However, I found that although the veterinarian did not want to deal directly with online companies, he did provide me with a written prescription, and I was able to deal directly with the on-line company myself. I strongly disagree with the reviewer who found this veterinarian to be unprofessionnal. This veterinarian was very professional and thorough, and his staff was extremely knowledgeable and courteous.

Cons: Older building undergoing renovation.
