Review content:
Rittenhouse Pet is a small store which is packed to the gills with pet products. There is a definite focus on items for cats and dogs, but there are also some small animal supplies. I like their selection of high quality dog and cat foods (though they don't stock my absolute favorite cat food, Natural Balance), and their excellent cat toy selection. \r

I believe that people who want to take on the responsibility of a pet should go through a screening/adoption process, so I really like the fact that Rittenhouse Pet doesn't sell animals. Also, when I see animals for sale I worry that they might've come from cruel puppy/kitten mills, as these are so common here in PA. \r

Staff at Rittenhouse Pet is always friendly and helpful, and they usually have samples of different pet foods to try for those of us with picky critters.
Pros: good selection, friendly staff, no animals for sale
Cons: prices are just average, not a lot of stuff for exotic/unusual pets
