Review content:
I attended this church for several years. I would not go back. The teaching can be described as fanatical fundamentalism... to the point that Pastor Tim Zacharias counselled a woman to stay in an abusive marriage, but when the husband tragically died of a heart attack, he counselled her to NOT give him a wake or a funeral because he was not worthy... because he had 'strayed from God'. \r \r Zacharias also refused to marry a couple in his church because the woman had been divorced once... 8 years previous, from an abusive husband... then when the couple did not want to follow Zacharias' specific couselling schedule, he would not have anything to do with the wedding. Besides this, the man who teaches the adult Sunday school told the husband-to-be that he would be commiting adultery if he married the woman... odd how the Pastor and the main Bible teacher don't agree on such points as marriage... \r \r There are good people that go to this church, don't get me wrong... but I do not believe that the Pastor is qualified to do what he does. If you are looking for a church in the shoreline area, I would look elsewhere... at Community Baptist, you are either a 'cookie cutter christian', or you just are not fully accepted... Pros: Good people in the congregation Cons: Awful Pastoral couselling
