I hesitate to call this Mexican because most of it in Pensacola is so bad, but THIS PLACE IS AMAZING FOLKS! California Mexican is FRESHER, TASTIER, beautifully presented and somehow ""cleaner"". Try the tortilla soup. I want it every day! This food is addicting its so good. And I mean EVERYTHING on the menu, from the black beans with their creaminess and astounding flavor, to the incredibly fresh salsa - I tasted lime, garlic, jalapeno, a little cilantro ALL FRESH, definitely not jarred, to the entrees that are so mouth watering - I love the Chile Rellenos-huge, cheesy, spicy and made fresh - the enchiladas are baked and soft, cheesy and saucy - last but not least the desserts - went three times before I had one - Oh My God- unbelievable Flan - they call it Fabulous Flan and fabulous it is!!! Get there people. This food is for serious MEXICAN FOOD LOVERS - not 'margarita-type' lovers, serious FOOD LOVERS and serious wine lovers, they have a great wine list - ask the owner for a recommendation - we've never been disappointed! Enjoy!
