There is no other way to say it: This place is SO good. I lived in Italy, so I know good Italian food when I taste it. The owner is always there, and always happy to see you. He is on top of his wait staff-- very professional. Not that they really need it, I have never had a bad experience with any of the servers. The busboys deserve just as much props as anyone; very attentive and great energy. The pastas are perfectly cooked, and the sauces are out of this world. Al dente is a given here-- sanno cucinare la pasta!! However, the filet with red wine sauce and green onion mashed potatoes is one of the best dishes I have ever had in my 8 years in LA. The flavors compliment each other marvelously, I couldn't ask for more. We usually begin with an appetizer or two (because these, too, are delicious). My favorites are the zucchini flowers, lightly fried and filled with a pocket of a mild ricotta cheese heaven. If not in the mood for something fried, we go for the burrata con peperoni (roasted bell peppers). So simple, but so crisp and appetizing. After such a substantial meal, we usually all split a millefoglie. It is a light strawberry mousse layered with crisp, sugary almond tiles, and surrounded by fresh strawberries. I've truly never had a bad meal here! Pros: Best filet I've ever had Cons: Nothing
