I thought my world had ended when the laundromat 2-doors down from my apt. went out of business. It had always been one of the perks of my place: run down, throw stuff in the wash, run back up and be back in my own place in minutes. (It was really like having the machines right in my own building.) But where was I supposed to schlep all my grubby clothes to now??! And would I have to give up evenings to watch the spin cycle complete in some divey, over-priced joint 7 blocks away? argh!\r \r I can now say I'm actually HAPPY they closed! I had my first laundrydotbz experience yesterday and it was GREAT: completely punctual pickup/dropoff; beatifully clean clothes (you can tell they actually use hot water, which is something that my old neighborhood 'omat never did!); and serious folding skills on top of that! Things came back a little chilly (you can tell they pack the truck the night before the 6:00am deliveries - who can blame them?), but everything was entirely dry: even the thicker turtlenecks and bathmats. Whoohooo! Fantastic!!\r \r PS: don't get wigged out by the fact that the van is entirely unmarked and that you don't get a receipt when they pick up. I was a little sceptical, but it definitely all worked out! (Even all the socks were there when they came back.) Pros: prompt pickup/delivery service; flexible hours; great cleaning job Cons: (not a dry cleaner- it's a launderer - incorrectly classified here)// also incorrect here: it's CASH ONLY
