I chose alterations west because it was close to my house, when everything else seemed so far away. I needed to get 2 formal dresses altered. When I first went in, they had me try on the dresses and pin where the alterations needed to be made...that s where my good experience ended. During the pinning, the women walked outside mumbling that she could not bend down anymore to pin me without even telling me. While she pinned my dresses, she did not hold any conversation, but I was not worried about that, I figured she was just not a people person. She told me when my dresses would be ready (after 3pm on a Friday) and gave me my slip with price estimates. When I went to pick up my dress (after 3pm on the Friday it was supposed to be done), I showed up at 4:05pm only to find the door locked and the sign said they closed at 4pm. As I started to walk away, she came to the door and said I was lucky she was still there. I apologized and thanked her and told her I needed to pick up, and she said nothing. She told me the total, and said again I was lucky she was still there in a very RUDE voice. I took my dresses and left. I was never thanked for my business and felt like I didn t matter after just spending $100 on alterations. I WILL NEVER RETURN. I would much rather travel a little further and spend a little more and get better customer service than put up with what I did at Alterations West. Although the work was very nice, the customer service was HORRIBLE!!!
