Review content:
The first time I visited Sakana was at the Glendale location. I sat down at the bar and asked the sushi chef, Masa (forgive me if it is spelled wrong), what he would recommend. He made my bf and me delicious rolls that were not even on the menu. Great experience. I have since been to the Scottsdale location as well and can say that I am never disappointed. It is always crowded on a weekend night. The atmosphere is not pretentious and the decor is simple, but it still manages to be one of my favorite places to eat sushi. This is not a place to see and be seen, it is a place to get good sushi. I like RA and Sushi Brokers, but Sakana is a little more relaxed. I would go to Sakana any night of the week, I have to be 'in the mood' to go to RA and Sushi Brokers. Bottom line: good sushi, good price, and good people.
Pros: Food and people
Cons: Parking in the Glendale location, crowded on Fri and Sat nights
