I had complained for years about a possible gas leak with Ape Fuels. The Ape Fuel driver was so under enthusiastic about checking for a possible gas leak, he went through the motions on two different occasions and declared that there was no leak. I was going through an exorbitant amount of fuel during these two years. Finally, a different driver was sent to check for a leak, he found the leak right away. The leak was in the regulator and a new regulator purchased through Ape Fuel and was installed by this new driver. Fuel costs were a fraction of what they had been with the leaky regulator. I spoke with the receptionist at Ape Fuels several times, asking to speak with their manager. I was told each time that the manager would return my call. This went on for months. I have yet to receive a call from the manager of Ape Fuels. On one occasion my neighbor ordered Ape Fuel, the driver put my neighbors gas in my tank. I was contacted by their receptionist and told of the mistake. There was NO compensation for their obvious mistake. I was told that I needed to pay this unordered gas bill in full. I did. (not at all fiscally comfortable for me that month, as I did not have this budgeted in).
I prefer to purchase local. I was happy to hear that Ape Fuel is a locally operated family business. It is SUCH a shame that they don
