Businiess name:  Normand M. Methot Agency

Review content:
The office is dirty, disorganized, and smells like a mixture of cigarettes, mold and mothballs. I was with this agency for a few years and willing to look past the lack of housekeeping. All was good until an agent provided me with a new quote that was about 50% more than a quote I received from the same insurance company directly. I let the agent know about the more affordable quote I had received because I wanted to stay loyal to the agency. I thought he would shop around. Instead, his attitude immediately changed to nasty. \r I ultimately decided to save money and purchase the policy directly, WITH lower deductibles. I called Methot Insurance the next day and spoke with a different agent. I requested that he cancel my old policy. He replied with “Why don't you call your new agent, tell him to do his job and cancel it for you"". This different agent refused to cancel my policy unless I came in to the office. I don't have time for silly salesmen games; a two-minute phone call to the insurance company canceled the policy. \r I'm all about buying local but if you want to avoid sleaze-ball sales tactics, I recommend saving yourself a couple hundred dollars and buy direct... Or at least go with another agency.\r
