Review content:
\r Another Saturday night waiting in line at a restaurant! Only this time our wait is based on our additional family members to round out a party of ten. Once our table is ready, and our party is complete we proceed to the very crowded dining room of Joe’s American Bar and Grill. \r I stumbled on Joe’s American about ten years ago, while shopping at Short Hills Mall in New Jersey. My sister and I stopped in for lunch, and we were sold. The atmosphere of the restaurant made it seem like it was exclusive. I was surprised to find out that it is part of the Back Bay Restaurant group.\r \r Joe’s boasts Classic American favorites with some signature dishes. The food lives up to its bragging. They advertise, “fall-off-the bone--ribs,” and they deliver. Each time I would pick up the slab; a bone would slide out. Other American favorites such as prime rib, roasted chicken, hand-cut French fries and hamburgers with a variety of toppings also add to the menu selections. To finish off a meal the restaurant offers a myriad of desserts, such as a Brownie Ice Cream Sundae, chocolate cake, and of course Apple Pie.\r The atmosphere at Joe’s is high energy to say the least. The full bar attracts a steady stream of patrons, and the exposed grill contributes to the sights and sounds of the establishment. The décor however is simple; polished wood all around, and this location depicts Americana through antique pictures. A nice alternative to the trend of memorabilia mounted on the walls. \r Despite a little disappointment of their being out of Prime Rib; the impeccable service and good food at reasonable prices was worth our trip north. I would recommend Joe’s American Bar and Grill to anyone looking for exceptional food at moderate prices, with an air of originality, in a market where there are nationwide cookie cutter versions of restaurants.\r
