Review content:
Crumbs may trump neighboring competitor Sprinkles in cupcake size, but not in quality. Compared to Sprinkles, Crumbs? offers cupcakes that are considerably larger and come in wider range of flavors on a daily basis. Classic red velvet and chocolate fudge cupcakes as well as unconventional Twinkie and blueberry swirl varieties can be found in the display case that spans almost the entire width of the small shop. Crumbs further distinguishes itself from Sprinkles by offering other desserts, including cookies and brownies. \r \r Yet while it might be fun to look at the Reese?s Peanut Butter cupcake erupting with candy bits or the banana split one that is even topped with a cherry, Crumbs? creativity is not matched in taste. Their cake mix in their colorful, M$M cupcake came across dry, and the icing was in desperate need of a more full-bodied creaminess. The moistness of Sprinkles? cupcakes and the balanced richness of their icing flavors were much missed. It was suddenly very apparently why of the two similarly-sized cupcakes shops just blocks from each other, Crumbs was not the one with the long queue of costumers out the door. \r \r If you?re going to spend the money on gourmet cupcakes, you might as well spend the extra time waiting in line at Sprinkles. \r \r \r Pros: good variety of desserts, unique cupcake flavors Cons: taste
