I am a full supporter of the Small Business community, but when a business like this opens, it really brings down the validity of the small business. My husband and I framed about 5 paintings here. 4 were received later than the expected date, by a week. But the big WTF was how we received the 5th painting 4 months later. FOUR MONTHS LATER. This place is very expensive and that is a ridiculous amount of time to get a picture framed. But you know what, this review is not based on the delay itself, but rather the service received from this establishment. For one of my paintings that was to be delivered that next day, did they remember to do it? No. Did I have to call to remind them to do it? Yes Did they apologize for forgetting? No Did I ever get a call saying that my 6th painting was delayed? No. Did I have to call multiple times just to get scolded for calling and given a random arbitrary future date that they would have it ready. Yes. Did I get a call when that promised date was not met to let me know that it was still delayed? No. Did I get put down once again when I called to inquire on the status. Yes. Did this happen about 10 or so times. YES! Did the woman start screening and ignoring my calls. Yes. Did she blame it each and every time on a bad phone line at the business. Yes. How do you explain when I call on the day that is promised, no one answers and then it goes to voicemail. But immediately after, I have a friend call to just to check the status and she picks up. How embarrassing to have a friend need to reach out to find out the status of my painting and just to have her snap at them and say 'Tell her we will call her when its ready like we said.' Excuse me? I guess she forgot to mention that she was supposed to call me if it were delayed. Matted should be ashamed of themselves. This is not how to treat your customers. I wish I had known what a hassle it was to get a simple picture framed. I truly regret giving them any of my business. Trust me, you will too. I hope that something better takes up this business space in LIC, this neighborhood would do much better without it.
