I had not dyed my hair in 4 years, and I was absolutely terrified of getting it done. Thanks to some greys it was time. I was referred to a fancy schmancy place in Newport, and my worst nightmares came true. The natural golden brown I asked for turned into a streaky, bleached uneven (and very expensive) mess. Of course I was horrifed and didnt know what to do. Came onto trusty citysearch and took a chance on Artistic hair based on the great reviews. I was assigned to CHRISTY and she called promptly to discuss with me in detail what I wanted, what the problem was, etc. She even let me email her my before and after photos and pictures of what I was looking to acheive. Totally went the extra mile for me. The salon itself is very unassuming on the outside, but once inside it really does have a friendly atmosphere, and its been busy both times I was there. (These girls are good!) I also had my hair cut by Nicole for their breast cancer fundraiser, who was also sweet as could be and gave me a fantastic cut. Once again, exactly what I asked for, how refreshing! Well not only was Christy so sweet and understanding, but gave me the prettiest highlights Ive ever had (Nicole actually commented on how nice they were before she even knew I had them done at her salon by Christy) I actually cant wait to go back for my touch up! I am officially a new fan, and it would seem with all the good reviews you cant go wrong here.
