Review content:
I originally met Lou Di Palo online through Twitter. My daughter was going to NYC and I asked her to go to Di Palo's since the shop sounded like a good place to check out. Lou Di Palo himself came out and talked to her, and showed her around. He helped her pick out a cheese and other tasty snacks. He didn't know us except for the few times I'd talked to him over the internet.
3 years later it was my turn to finally get to NYC and guess where I headed! We walked into a busy shop with a line of customers, waited our turn and asked for Lou when we got to the counter. The shop is family run and they made us feel like very important people indeed. Lou was out but expected back momentarily. We decided to walk around a bit & come back. We found him outside and across the street. He talked to us and showed us around himself. He has an entire shop next door with wines. He showed me 4 types of Parmesan cheese and explained the difference in how they taste and why. I left with a gift of Orange Chocolate that Lou gave me.
I am so happy to recommend Di Palo's to anyone going to NYC, Manhattan, and Little Italy.
