I too made the unfortunate error of signing up for Frank's services to get my driveway excavated and paved. He took a deposit of $2,900 back on April 14 2011 (cashed the check right away !!). It is now November 7th and he has left it half finished.. Excavated it (took another $1,800 on July 17th), applied stone/gravel and it is one excuse after the other. I made numerous calls and he always gave one excuse or the other - broken truck, involved in an accident, weather etc. We have been having such good weather the last 10 days and my driveway is such an eyesore and has been that way for four months now. He got to excacvating my driveaway 3 months after taking the initial deposit. Please, please don't get conned by Frank. Run away from him. He will give you a good estimate that will be very tempting...but I don't think he ever will complete the job or intends to complete the job. Even if he does I can't expect him to do a good job. He probably spends the deposit money quickly (he is bankrupt and probably broke) and will wait for the next sucker to con and maybe use that money to do a little bit of the work. Probably like a nice Ponzi scheme. I am in touch with the PA Attorney General's office and my local police to see what can be done to ensure other consumers are not taken for the same ride that I and others who have posted here have been taken for.
