Businiess name:  Mikado Japanese Restaurant

Review content:
This place does an excellent job with cooked japanese dishes in addition to their sushi menu. For cooked dishes, I LOVE the Kurobota Pork Chop. For sushi, the Albacore Crunch Roll is a must (and this is from someone who typically doesn't like the crazy rolls). HAVE YOU EVER HAD ESCOLAR SUSHI??? This is the very first place I tried it and I find myself craving it. It is difficult to find at most sushi restaurants; the only other place that serves it is a small spot on Riverside called Sho, but it is not as good. In terms of ambience, you walk in and find a japanese restaurant, a long sushi bar, a separate cocktail bar area, AND a patio area... so everytime I come here, it can be a different experience (my husband usually likes the sushi bar while my friends will opt for the cocktail bar or this past Saturday, we hung out in the patio... perfect for those warm nights in the valley). From someone who doesn't like their cocktails too sweet, I like the lychee martini (beware: it is not a light pour, but you can ask the hostess to call you a cab home). Pros: Great if you are looking for sushi AND cooked japanese dishes Cons: No valet parking
