Review content:
Incredibly poor customer service. They do not have a computerized system, they still write everything on paper with carbon copies. This led to a 28 day ""misplacing"" of our furniture (after waiting 2 months for its manufacture), which they originally blamed on the shipper. When I filed a complaint with the national business bureau, I received this response from the shipper:\r
\r
""However, I will advise the (Business Bureau) that the delay was due to the carrier following the bill of lading contract in reference to the freight charges moving collect. We attempted several times to collect the charges from Calvin so we could deliver the freight, they finally paid the charges on 12-15 at which time we lined the shipment up for delivery next time in the area which was the 22nd. As you can see the complaint should have been with the consignee, not MGM.""\r
\r
As they do not pay their contractors in a timely manner, this resulted in a 28 delay of our furniture, lying to us about it's 'loss' , blaming it on the trucking/shipping company, and then refusal to return phone calls until we started raising our voices above conversation level during our repeated calls to their company. When I called back to let them know I had filed a complaint with the Business Bureau against the shipper, I received the response ""these things happen in retail"". \r
\r
If this is service that you find acceptable, shop with them. If not, then I would highly advise shopping elsewhere.
