Roasty's is the perfect place for a quick meal. As part of my work I am doing an audit in Freeport, very near to Merrick and for lunch we needed someplace quick to eat, but not something that was simply fast food.
This place is pretty good. They have roast beef and chicken sandwiches as well as some pretty average tasting fries. They also have some corn fritters. They also have soup, though I would not suggest the chicken soup based on my one experience. Personally I have had the Roast Beef in a wrap and a chicken sandwich on a roll.
The order takers are not very friendly. They do have someone who brings napkins to your table and cleans up after you but there is a sign saying to leave your trays on the table and they insist on a non tipping policy.
They are quick like fast food, but the quality and health of the food is superior to your typical fast food chain.
