I never leave comments unless they are positive, but because I’m very passionate about the dining experience, I felt that I seriously needed to share this....\r My fiancé and I decided to try this restaurant on the word of a couple of our friends. They, like us, are foodies and we definitely listen when they make suggestions for dining out. I would also like to add that I am an avid cook, and when I do decide to go out to a restaurant, it's very special and I can be fairly picky about where I decide to spend money for a dining experience.\r That being said, I'm sorry to say that we did not even get to try your food because of the sloppy appearance of this restaurant. We went last night, a Saturday in Boulder, (which is WELL known for its tough competition in the restaurant arena). Most places were packed with hungry patrons. However, while we went somewhat later (8:30pm…late by CO standards), this restaurant was definitely slow compared to other options in the area. Given that, I first noticed was how long it took for the hostess to come to greet us at the door. After about 7 minutes, she finally greeted us to take us back to our seats. I was not that anxious about it, and was just glad to be taken to a table. However, on our way there, I immediately noticed the chips crushed ALL OVER the carpets. There was literally the equivalent of a full bowl of chips lining the walkway to our table, crushed and being ground into the carpet. At our table alone, there were about 5 crushed chips sitting there on the floor. I looked at the floor, and then up at the hostess; she didn't even seem to notice! We settled into the booth anyway, but all I could think was, “if they're this negligent with the atmosphere, they're definitely going to be just as sloppy with the food and service."" Nevertheless, despite my verbalizing this to my fiancé, we decided to stay out of convenience, as we were really hungry. But, there we waited….and waited. At the 10 minute mark, we still had not received even a glass of water or even a, “hey there, I’ll be right with you.” Also, there was some sort of crusty residue stuck to my menu….At that point, I was done. My fiancé and I left, crunching over the crushed chips and never even saw the waiter or received any water. We went to another restaurant (Salt) and had one of the best meals in a long time, with fabulous service and impeccable attention to detail...not to mention INCREDIBLE food. Sad about this restaurant though, because I will be telling my friends the terrible experience we had here, so sloppy....seems like it could possibly have potential if they could pull themselves together. I mean CRUSHED CHIPS ALL OVER THE FLOOR?! That's just lazy. Of course that translates into, ""so what are they doing with the food?!"" And slow service in a quiet time? C'mon guys, this is Boulder (#1 foodie destination in the USA), get it together!\r \r
