Review content:
Due to change in insurance had to change dentists. I went to Southwest Dental since it was close to home and was on my plan. I will be seeking another dentist. My first visit was for a cleaning no dental problems. (I go every 6/mo for dental cleanings and no problems). When I checked in I was called up to front desk to sign to agree to pay extra charges (100-140) for extra deep cleaning. I explained I made an appointment for routine cleaning. I was told because I had never been a patient there before I had to pay for extra deep cleaning (a 1 time procedure for all new patients) I told them that I was not going to agree to pay extra when no one had even looked at my teeth yet, they said fine but we wont clean your teeth unless you agree to the extra cleaning. I see that they pull that on someone else as well. When I read the previous review. Very bad business. My out of pocket after insurance for cleaning is $12.00 they want me to pay 100-140 extra? What a racket. After much arguing, I was able to get teeth cleaned without extra charge. When I paid as I was leaving $12.00 I asked the same girl who was demanding I sign paper agreeing to extra cost. I asked about this again, she said it is standard procedure for all new patients. Cons: UNTRUSTWORTHY
