Old Austin personified - but modern day quality. I shopped at Buck Moore Feed before there was a Petsmart, or a Petco. I shopped at Buck Moore Feed after there was a Petsmart or a Petco. Why? Because they are super picky and super knowlegeable about what foods and chemicals they sell (if they give you a recommendation - take it), they recognized me when I came in and I always got a smile, they have an old glass bottle Coke machine (yum on a hot day!), if I felt blue Buck always had a funny story for me. If I needed something special for the animals, Buck, Ken or John and formerly Tommy and Billy Ray, would help me get what I needed. The cash register has gotta be about 100 years old. You would be lucky indeed if Mrs. Moore is behind the register! She's the best! The coolest hand-beaded earrings and best smelling soaps I ever bought in my life were from there - neat odds and ends at Buck Moore Feed. Great prices, great advice, friendly people (In California I now pay $38.00 a bag for 40lbs of Diamond dog food - at Bucks it's about half that!) \r

I've actually never found another place to do business that is as special as this place, any kind of business. It really is old Austin personified. Shop there five or six times, say howdy do to the folks and I have no doubt you'll see what I mean. Most customers coming in to the feed store have been doing so for decades. And there's a reason for that. A good, good reason.\r
