Review content:
This is Kim the proud owner of Grooming Naturally. I have to say that this is our first bad review in the 2 1/2 years we have been open. We come highly recommended by almost every local vet and many local boarding facilities. The reason we could not do the haircut on this very sweet Goldendoodle today is because it was matted to the skin. My groomer had worked on Izzy for over two hours using our specialty dematting system and various tools. When it had become obviously painful to Izzy we stopped. We will never torture a dog during the grooming process. The woman who wrote this review would not answer her phone so we just did a deluxe mini groomer, the same groom as the previous time that she has told us she was very happy with. Luckily her husband just happened to stop in and called her on his phone and put her on with us. While I was on the phone with her my groomer was explaining the situation to her husband. He was more than understanding, he paid for the mini groom and left a TIP!!! Meanwhile I was still on the phone with his wife. I told her what she wanted us to do was very painful to her dog and we do not do that, she did not care. She told me I that I had limited skills and was rude. She also said she was going to bad mouth us to everyone she knows! Her husband was standing 4 feet away I was in no way rude. This was Izzy's 5th visit to our shop. Every time we explained clearly to her our policies on dematting as we do with all clients that bring in matted pets. I can not and will not ever understand why people care more about having the cut they want than the pain and suffering their poor dog would have to go through to achieve it. By the end of the phone call I was crying in front of her husband and young daughter and the other clients employees in my shop. Reputation is everything to us. I'm very sad Mrs. M felt she had to do this. Izzy's a great dog we hope all groomers will do the same as we did. I am very proud of my groomer for thinking of the pet first and not the money she could have made had she have done the cut this owner wanted.
