Review content:
I first contacted Banfield when we were considering switching vets. We have 2 dogs a senior GSD and a Mastiff puppy.....so needless to say wherever we choose to go we spend a lot of time and money. I called to book the puppies 3rd round of immunizations. I explained that is what I needed to do, gave the date of his last shots, explained I was trying to book his visit while my GSD was getting groomed. With 3 kids and 2 dogs it takes a bit of choreography. They got us in on time. The exam table had hair from the previous patient on it (gross) , they turned on a video for me to watch (to sell their health plan) and left me in a room with 2 kids and a puppy. The nurse came in asked a couple questions, Dr came in said it was 4 days early for his immunization so they couldn't do it that day (I specifically asked about that on the phone and was assured it was fine)......Then the Dr quickly looked him over offered to comp the price of the visit for my trouble.....they were already comping the price since it was a ""complimentary first exam free"". I did not feel the Dr gave him an even half a** exam, although on her computer check out she listed heart, lung, rear all in good condition. Wondering how she knows since she didn't look or listen? She never once asked about any of his behavior, eating...she did say if he continues to itch she may prescribe some food.....yah ok! She didn't ask anything and then she left. Maybe I expect too much. One thing is for sure our search for a GOOD vet continues. OH she did recommend I look into Petsmart training programs. So I guess if you like ""time share"" type of presentations without the Vet actually taking the time or interest in your pet, this is your place.
