Review content:
I hired Ben Nicely to remove a tree from my yard. He came by, gave me a quote, and told me he could have it out and hauled away in 1 day. He started the job on June 16, 2010 , cut down several limbs and left them on the ground for 3 days. When he came back he hauled some of the limbs on the ground away, asked for a deposit on the job, and did not return for nearly a week. He finally showed back up, worked for 2 hrs, asked for additional money and I never heard from him again. I paid him over 50% of the agreed upon fee. Ben made several commitments as to when he would return for to complete the job. Needless to say I have paid him over half of the agreed upon price for the job and I still have a tree in my back yard. He might have cut down 1/3 of the tree. I call him daily and he does not even have the decency to return my call, come back and finish that he committed to do, and has been paid to do. There is still a pile of logs/limbs on the ground, a tree in my yard and it has been 8+ weeks since he got paid. This is the second time I have hired him to do tree work for me and I had no problems with him the first time he came out earlier this year. I eve gave his number to 3 of my neighbors--2 of which hired him to do work for them as well! This is the thanks I get for paying him what he asked, giving him additional work from my neighbors, and paying him in advance for the second job I hired him for. I will probably never see him or my money that I paid him again. And now I will have to pay someone else to clean up his mess!! Such a shame you can't count on people to keep up their end of the deal. Ben took advantage of me by taking my money and not completing the job he was contracted to do--he should be ashamed of himself.
