I received a notice in the mail that my rent was paid. Sometimes I pay in cash and sometimes I pay with check. So, I call them and state that I paid my rent (I thought by cash), and she says, ""Did you get a receipt"", I said no. I've never had a problem before and I've lived here for 6-7 years, why think anything would be any different. So, she proceeds to get extremely rude with me on the phone, at which point I lose it with her. She says I'll either have to show a receipt from them, or a cancelled check with their stamp on it. Well, as it turns out, I DID pay with a check, THANK GOD. I went to the bank and they printed out their STAMPED and deposited check. So, I take to them. They want to ARGUE with me and still say they can't find the payment. Is this MY problem your incompetent, under-educated staff cannot do their jobs properly and misplace receipts, deposits, etc? I showed them PROOF positive I paid with the cancelled check from the bank with their stamp on it. What MORE could you possibly want? Then the idiot has the nerve to say, ""Well, I see you wrote it on a National City bank account"". I said, ""Yeah, so"". Well, you aren't supposed to do that because you should have gotten PNC checks when they bought them out. I said look idiot, I've paid for a year with the same checks, NEVER an issue, and besides, YOU CASHED THE DAMN thing and deposited it. YOu have the money! RUN, don't walk from these IDIOTS!
