Review content:
Solmar V is the most experienced live-aboard taking scuba divers to the Socorro Islands and Guadalupe Island. They have been doing Socorro for twenty years and know the waters there better than anyone else. The crew is fantastic. Unlike many other live-aboards who's crew come and go, the crew on the Solmar V is the same every time (with the exception of rotations). Their enthusiasm is contagious and its obvious that they really love their jobs. The diving is very well organized and professional, with clear dive briefings and well implemented safety procedures in place. The vessel is beautiful with mahogany throughout, accented by brass and custom etched glass. The food is very good and plentiful. The dive deck is spacious and they have a huge camera table. The only downside is that the staterooms are small, but each has its own head and temperature control The boat is very comfortable. I've been on 22 different live-aboard dive boats around the world, and Solmar V is at the top of my list of favorites.
