I have been a student of Sensei Porta for fourteen years thus far, and have trained at Porta’s Karate-Do Academy from my childhood years into adulthood. I could not write a more positive review of this school. My training under Sensei Porta has done so much for me over these years - it has literally changed my life.
If you are seeking a place where you can learn Okinawan Karate in the traditional way – under a teacher who is certified and has trained personally in Okinawa with masters who are a part of the direct lineage of Goju-Ryu Karate and Matayoshi Kobudo… If you are seeking a place where you or your child can develop confidence, self-discipline, and learn an art of self-protection in a supportive, family-like environment – look no further.
