Review content:
I have found this karate school to be the best anywhere in north Jersey. It's family oriented and still provides the best in traditional Okinawan Goju-ryu karate. Traditional karate techniques are taught in a manner that makes it fun for the children. My son trained there for 10 years, and even though he's grown and living in another state, he still finds that his training at Porta's to be superior to other schools that he has tried.\r
\r
My son enjoyed his training so much that I decided to join him. The adult classes follow the training schedule of the Okinawan Goju-ryu dojos. Training can be intense, but Sensei Porta considers each individual student's limitations. As a 9th degree black belt in the traditional martial art, Sensei Porta is highly respected in Okinawa as well as in the USA.\r
\r
If you're looking for the best in traditional karate training, check out Porta's. Be advised that the school has relocated to 306 Wanaque Ave. in Pompton Lakes.
