I have had the same account for over 20 years, though admittedly, I only kept it open for the last 5 years for the quarterly AD&D withdrawal. When they took my last $10.84 out as a service charge, I determined I didn't need to keep it open, so I went in to get a courtesy reversal and close it if need be. I said when I walked in that ""I need to see what I need to do to get my service fee reversed'. Greg spent a solid 20 minutes of my time going over every possible angle of my personal finances to get me to bring my accounts over. I obliged only as part of the game to get my $10.84. He then closed my account before granting the courtesy reversal and then said that could not be undone. Even though no one could tell me why I was charged $10.84 for a $10 service fee. I worked at MaPS, and I bank at US Bank. Courtesy reversals ARE a reasonable request on a very occasional basis. It adds up as to why there were 8 employees and only 3 other customers in the branch during my ordeal.
