Review content:
I have the pleasure of helping my niece with her upcoming wedding and as I was reading through the reviews of this local bridal shop,I couldn't help but wonder why there were such extremes in the content of those reviews. I have to say, the negative comments were not just negative, they were extremely unkind! When I was in college I worked my way through at a bridal salon in my college town. Although we had the experience of many lovely, well-mannered brides, we also had those who were extremely rude, such as the ones who posted the negative comments about Dee's Studio. There are always two sides to every story and readers should consider some of the things that could have happened along the way. For example, were all the bridesmaids sized by the consultants or did they bring or call in their measurements? Since most of the time the dresses are ordered 4 to 6 mos. in advance, did some of the girls either gain or lose weight? Was enough time given for the orders? At the store I worked in, customers had to sign to okay the size as there was a no return policy unless there was a manufacture defect. Customers were also warned that there were no real guarantees if they did not order far enough in advance, since we had no control over shipments that came from far and away, but we would do the best we could. We also could not control ""fit"" and alterations were expected because although we took measurements, the dresses were still standard sizes and customers are not ! After reading such opposite reviews, I took my niece in on Saturday without an appt. The consultants welcomed us warmly and allowed us to choose what we wanted, not what they wanted. They were very helpful and yet didn't pressure us at all. We took a break for lunch and then came back with the bridesmaids and ordered the gown of her dreams, although it was difficult because they had many cutting edge choices. They even gave a great discount because we ordered everything else through them! Thank you, Dee's !
