Review content:
I did much research on private schools in the area, and there is no better value than Landmark Christian School of Peachtree Corners. If you're looking for solid academics, a truly loving staff, and don't want to pay or can't pay $10,000 per child on tuition, then you'll want to check out this school. They have a great Web site, too. If you're looking for lots of organized sports and special programs, well, this growing school isn't quite there, yet. I should mention, the only reason these types of activities don't exist right now is due to a lack of participation - I know the vision for the school is to be able to offer these programs in the future.\r \r My two children, ages 8 and 5, have been attending Landmark Christian School of Peachtree Corners since they were 2 years old. Not only do they love the school and the fantastic teachers, they are doing really well academically. I attribute this to two things, mainly. First, the caring, nurturing attitude of the staff - I believe they actually love my children. Secondly, Landmark utilizes the A Beka curriculum as a significant part of thier academic development, and my children are excelling in reading, math and language skills. In fact, on the Stanford achievement test, my second grade son scored at 6th grade level in reading, language, and spelling(scoring at pre H.S. on word study skills - 99th percentile, nationally); in math, he scored at 4th grade level. \r \r It's a fairly young school, and it has its own challenges and shortcomings. However, I see a willing staff and school board, who are ready to do what it takes to make the school all the better. \r \r I recommend for anyone who lives and works in the area who has been either contemplating getting their children out of public school, or who just can't afford the high tuition charged by other private schools in the area, schedule a tour at Landmark. Pros: academics, caring loving staff, small class size, affordable tuition, high value Cons: extracurricular and sports activities
