Review content:
Bazaar is my go-to neighborhood Russian deli. Alright, so everyone has a favorite, and this place is mine. The little dirty secret that all Russian stores share is just how much is trucked from the Russian ""bazas"" (warehouses) in NYC that is the true eastern European epicenter in America. Most places are around Brighton Beach Brooklyn, which is what Chinatown is to Chinese. Back to Bazaar, my favorite staples include what Russians call ""zakuski"" or appetizers. Typically these are herring, pickled cabbage, eggplant caviar, mushroom salad and the like. Naturally all go superbly with vodka. Fresh blini (russian crepes), smoked fish, smoked meats add to the variety. Go on, ask to sample what you like! And in the end, depending how much you spend, you'll get a free gift. Can't beat that !
Pros: fresh and authentic euro deli
Cons: hard to navigate if you don't know what you want
