Review content:
I've heard about this place as one of the few (only?) Malaysian places in town. Went on a Thursday night to the NW corner of the intersection. The four stars are based purely on the food.\r \r The Good: Prices are largely under $10 per entree and since there is no beer or wine, you'd be hard pressed to spend more than $15 per person at the outer limit. The food is largely competent and often excellent. For those that haven't experienced Malay or Nyonya cooking, but like Indian and/or Thai, this will be a treat. For those that have had excellent Malay/Nyonya cooking in the past, this will serve as a pretty competent rendition. It was really, really tasty from my perspective!\r \r The Bad: The one guy that takes orders, also cleans up after customers, delivers the food and takes payment. In Management Operations we would call him a ""bottleneck."" He tries, but frankly doesn't succeed. His English is virtually non-existent and it's hard to communicate with him. \r \r The Ugly: The place is a bit of a hole in the wall. The AC only appears to work in the kitchen, not in the restaurant. If you place yourself near the kitchen door you can catch a cool breeze. Better to not deal with the bad and the ugly and get the food to go. McDonalds has a nice ambiance relative to Lion City! Pros: Cheap, great food Cons: Poor English, No AC, barely adequate service
