To be fair, we had used Lee twice before were pleased with the work. (3 yrs ago) Took used car in for inspection, told by Lee it had many problems, but $1300 of work (91 Toyota) would enable it to run for 3-5 years. Basically, overhauling an old but dependable car...not unusual for a Toyota. Broke down 1 week after work (was running when 1st went in), while over 50 miles from home. Towed in (no AAA...$$$) for second round. This time supposedly needed $800 worth of work, but was promised 'that was it' and would be great from there. Lamented with choice, but figured it was cheaper than another used car, had repairs made. Took much longer than promised, car ran worse than before. Was told it was a regulator, should have been OK now, but the new one must be faulty so they replaced again. Did some extra work as a ""bonus"" (changed air filter, cleaned fuel injectors, etc.) and since Lee was not around, Rick made us feel like that was something to be appreciated. While I would have, I would much rather have a running car (I can change my own air filter, thank you) Who do I believe?? Lee - (after initial $1300 work and used car inspection) - ""Great car, will run 3-5 years now if you take care of it"" or 2nd in charge Rick ""Well worn car, air leaks, compression problems, what do you expect with a car so old?"" - Well, I tell you what I expect. I expect you would have told us that on the first go around, not after THREE separate trips in, and no final solution to the problem. Called to politey discuss situation as car gets worse and was told, ""We told you so!"" No they did not & the fact that they print their diagnoses and have you sign paperwork before you leave says a lot. Car sputtered home, was in tears, this was all our money. $2500 later feel cheated, lied to, neglected, written off as ""old car"" even though we were assured this would all be remedied. Will take legal action, no longer offer good service. Note only positive reviews listed on their website. Pros: 3 years ago, one of the best places we had ever used, decent prices, easy to work with, took time to explain things Cons: Now, long wait to talk, always on phone, very busy with other customers, forgotten more than once, unwillingness to honor warranty or fix initial problems, very curt from beginning
