Both Twice As Nice and Mens Again are managed by the same owner. For most businesses that would be a plus, except when the owner is not customer oriented, as in this case. That carries over to the staff since there is no consistency from one clerk to another regarding consignment rules. The staff is free to mark the cost of clothing as they see fit and that varies drastically from one clerk to another. If the employees lose, misplace, or discard any items placed in their care for consignment (as happened to me), the owner takes no responsibility and will do nothing regarding reimbursement, either in whole or in part. In fact, you will probably be berated and talked down to by the owner, as I was.\r \r In addition, when picking up consigned items that do not sell, the staff will not assist you. Thus, I had to search the entire store for my unsold items, which took over an hour. Even then I could not find all of the supposed unsold items and finally I overheard the clerk tell another person that the owner was behind in updating consignment accounts. I then spoke with the clerk and was told that I needed to come back in 7 - 10 days to see if there was any change. Thus, more time out of my schedule just because the owner does a poor job of keeping track of consigned item accounts. I went back to the store and you guessed it, the owner had my account updated. However, the new twist was that the owner limited my future consignments all because of their own inefficiencies in recordkeeping and other made-up reasons.\r \r All-in-all, this was a very unpleasant experience and the paltry few dollars earned in no way made up for the total lack of respect that the owner and her staff displayed. Never again will I provide or purchase consignment items from either of these stores and I do not recommend them in any way…
