I didn't come for the pianos, and I have no doubt that they excel in this department, as this is their specialty. However, I went in to exchange a huge guitar amplifier for a smaller one (a lot less aggravation for my neighbors), so they got the 'sweeter' deal. This was about 2 years ago.\r The amplifier they gave me turned out to be a Fender model that has consistent problems. I don't even know what they are, and I tried emailing them several times, without a response. I may not have given them money, but I should think a trader should be treated with the same respect, especially if they're offering a better item than what they 'traded down' for.\r The guitar 'salesperson' at the time was someone, I figure, barely out of their teens, and probably didn't know much about what he was doing, but at the same time, Day Music's lack of support in this matter entirely affects my decision never to shop there again, not even for a guitar pick. In the 80's, this store was THE place to go; one of the older Day brothers would always cut you a nice, reliable deal on a trade/purchase. Now, it's been reduced to apathy toward customers (I once again stress the guitar department as I'm not sure how the piano people behave), and, I'm stuck with an amplifier that doesn't work with Day Music having the profit. NOT good business, needless to say. Pros: Nice variety of guitars and amps, pianos, old family business Cons: Outright disregard of customer feedback in guitar department regarding non-working items.
