Review content:
After hearing many positive comments from friends and reading so many great reviews about Crave Restaurant, it immediately rose to the top of my list of delectable dining adventures to experience. The reviews proved to be right on target – so much so we purchased a gift card for future visits! The gift card itself was unique in that it offered not only a more liberal expiration period but also a more generous reward relative to other restaurant gift cards. \r \r While viewing the menu we had a tough time where to begin for everything sounded delicious. We began our meal with Sushi and since my spouse will only eat cooked items there was many to choose from – both cooked and raw. We had the Volcano Roll and it proved to be the best we’ve had anywhere! Topped with baked scallops in a sweet sauce and filled with real snow crab meat, avocado and cucumber I knew the remainder of my dining experience would be an adventure. We then shared the Mini Burger and I was floored! Cooked to perfection (M-W), they were juicy substantial minis encased in Hawaiian Sweet buns and topped with smoked cheddar and caramelized onions. They were accompanied with pickles, mustard and delicious Bacon Ketchup – a first time ketchup combo for me. My spouse then ordered a bowl of Tomato Pesto Soup with Parmesan cheese and fire roasted tomatoes. He was thoroughly satisfied. \r \r For the main entrée I ordered the Sesame Ahi Tuna (served medium, by request) prepared sesame-encrusted with gingered vegetables in a sake soy reduction. I substituted extra vegetables for the steam rice WO/a problem and was glad I did for the vegetables were deliciously plentiful – just as the portion of tuna. Naturally, since I was almost full from the appetizers we just couldn’t leave without tasting, I took the remainder of the tuna dish home. And it was equally as good after the fact. My spouse had the Blackened Grouper, served with jambalaya rice, grilled asparagus and shrimp cream sauce. He substituted the asparagus without a problem. He also didn’t have any problem completing every morsel of the Grouper – for after sampling it, I will definitely order the dish upon future visits – and real soon!\r \r Since we were both thoroughly stuffed, we didn’t save any room for dessert but will make it a point to do so next time, the dessert menu also proved to be tempting. Our server, Jill was always available and remained in sight should we need her, providing truly personalized service without being overwhelming. The Manager, who was originally from the Restaurant home office in Minnesota, visited our table to ensure our meal and service satisfaction. Tuan Tran, Executive Chef also visited our table to introduce himself, thank us for choosing Crave and to assure that the meal met our dining expectations. After one of most delicious meals and excellence service, followed by a personal visit by management and Executive Chef, we felt like royalty! With that said, we floated out the door – or almost anyway!\r \r Located at an intersection immediately off Interstate 4 Crave is in the same plaza as Best Buy. It can be easy to pass by. By all means turn around and go back, it is well worth it. Do not pass the prime opportunity to dine at Crave – you will not be sorry! \r
