A little over a year ago I was in a very toxic relationship and severely depressed. I asked a trusted friend if she knew of any good therapists in the Portland area. That’s when I was blessed with Jackie Paris. It started with couples counseling where I learned so much about how to communicate intimately and interact with someone you care deeply about. Jackie helped us talk through what was really going on and we eventually were able to part ways in a mature and responsible manner. \r

I continued to see Jackie for myself and that’s when the real work began. I really believed I had nothing to look forward to, that I was not worthy of enjoying the life I was given on this earth. Jackie coached me through the tough times and got me to answer the difficult questions that close friends and family often don’t want to challenge us with. I’ve learned so much about who I am as an individual and what I truly want for myself. It was years ago when I truly felt happiness in my life until I met Jackie. I honestly believe Jackie saved my spirit and my soul.\r

The emotional journey with Jackie is long from over as personal growth in life never ends, but for the first time in my life I’m really looking forward to what the future brings. I’ve participated in therapy on and off for many years, but I’ve never seen the kind of positive and heartwarming results I’ve encountered in my sessions with Jackie.
