Review content:
A recent experience at this establishment merits a mention here as it involves extremely rude behavior by the ?owner?. \r
\r
Our party of 3 had just ordered our dinner, when a young man poked his head in our booth and said loudly and sardonically, ?Thanks for stealing our menu covers.? He disappeared, before we could react. I asked our waiter, a very pleasant young man, who that person was. He said embarrassed, ?The owner.? \r
\r
To make a long story short, ?The owner? accused us of theft, refused to address the issue, refused to identify himself, and remained extremely unpleasant and impolite. I should mention that our party included me, a business exec in my forties, a guest ? she is a business exec from Europe, and my father who at 81 is a retired physician and a long term resident of La Jolla. \r
\r
While this incident might be explained as the frustrated reaction of a tired and overwhelmed restaurateur to the day?s events, insulting customers are never acceptable service. La Jolla has a lot of great places to eat, avoid this one. \r
