Review content:
I've dined at Peak City Grill & Bar on several occasions and always found the food and service to be excellent. However, my experience there on Sunday, May 27, 2007, was far from satisfactory. We arrived at around 7:30 for dinner and were told we should wait in the bar and have an appetizer and they would have a table for us in about 45 minutes. The place was nearly empty, so we told them we'd walk around outside and return later. We were waved inside after about 20 minutes with, ""your table is now ready."" So much for the ole ""run up a tab in the bar"" routine.\r I ordered the special for the evening, prime rib (rare), and requested no scallions on my baked potato. After waiting quite a while for our entrees, they arrived with my piece of meat looking more like a medium well piece of NY strip and my potato loaded with scallions. I sent the potato back and was told after another extended wait that they were ""out of baked potatoes"", with no explanation of why they didn't just scrape the unwanted topping off my potato...?? I should have sent the NY strip posing as prime rib back, but we had already waited far too long for our entrees to arrive in the first place. This is our last trip to Peak City. Pros: Nice Atmosphere, Interesting Menu Cons: Slow service, Kitchen just can't deliver
