My friend and I just went here to get PADI certified. When we first went there, they were great. Very helpful. Then took the class and some of the instructors are great, especially Deb. \r \r But they then sent us to Monterey for the open water parts of the class, and this is when things started to go wrong. My friend rented all of the gear they recommended from them. They gave him extremely outdated gear. Outdated equipment. The weight belts didnt fit and worst of all, it fell apart! Luckily the dive center in Monterey was great and lent him some equipment free of charge.\r \r I had had them replace some parts on my equipment which I bought used. My friend picked it up with his rental gear and when we opened it up, Marin Dive center did not give us back any of the parts they took off. So my friend asked for it when he went to return his rental gear. They gave him all of the junky parts, but kept the low pressure hose which is the one part that I wanted as a spare and is the only part worth any money. My friend complained about his gear and they basically said there was nothing wrong with it and gave him attitude about it. \r \r If they had apologized, given me my parts, and at least gave my friend a better explanation or was at least nice about things, they might still have 2 customers. But we are certainly never going back. \r \r I only gave them 2 stars because Deb, one of the instructors was so great. Scott, the general manager on the other hand is a greedy loser. Pros: Great Instructors, especially Deb Cons: Greedy manager and very dishonest
