My wife and I live in the city and have good friends in Park Slope. We have dined a few times in various restaurants and although we did not know Miriam before we went there…we were pleasantly surprised. The food is a very interesting fusion of authentic Israeli/Mediterranean flavors with a touch of elegance but without being obnoxious. We recommend the Borekas to start with (just be carful because you might want them to keep coming) and my wife had the Mediterranean salad which was very good as well. For our main I had the Lamb Musaka and if you like eggplant this is the dish for you…it was hearty and full of flavor which was great for a cold evening. My wife had the filet of Branzino with a bunch of interesting sauces drizzled on them and she really enjoyed it as well. One other thing to mention is that the wine list was pleasantly elaborate and we were able to pair a terrific wine with our meal. Service was very good but not annoying and it seemed like the owner knew a lot of his customers which is always a good sign. We will definitely come back to Miriam…we love places that are a bit rustic with good food and wine and a cool atmosphere. Pros: Authentic Flavors Cons: Wait For Brunch
