I've been a member of George Brown Fitness in Clovis since they first opened their doors.
Nice gym, nice people, nice location.
That's where the nice ends and the ugly starts.
I stopped going to the club in January 2012 and cancelled the card associated with the account.
When I received a bill on May 10th for Feb through May in the amount of $126.00, I called their office and asked why I was being billed.
They said the account was still open, and ALL charges were due.
I requested they requested they cancel the membership and waive the fees, but they declined stating: ""How do we know you haven't been coming to the club the whole time""
Really?
So after years of being a loyal customer, George Brown Fitness shows their ""true colors"" by calling me a liar and making excuses about their ""RULES"".
George Brown Fitness gets a 1 STAR rating from me (I would give them ZERO, but CitySearch requires at least a 1 star rating.
Find another club to spend your money with, or better yet, try the P90X or Insanity workout at home like I did and put the $30 a month back in your pocket.
