Review content:
I've been going to Sal's for years. Their pizza is decent, and they seem to be regarded as the best in town. The jury is still out on that. Sal's makes the standard doughy pizza covered edge-to-edge with cheese. Crust is a little thick and doughy, but not too bad. Quality can sometimes be inconsistent. One interesting thing I've noted about this place is the pizza by the slice is different than what you get when you order a whole pie. The slice pizzas are larger and thinner than the 'regular' pizzas. I like the slices better. Sal's also sells cheesesteaks, hoagies, and other standard fare. Food quality is generally good, but nothing to write home about. PS - The owners of Sal's recently opened an excellent Italian restaurant next door (Pasta Pomodoro).
Pros: decent food
